This year, the Senate voted on an amendment to not fund companies which force their employees to forfeit their rights to sue for sexual assault or harassment.

Thirty Senators voted against this amendment. All of them republican.

I actually emailed John Cornyn, the senator from Texas, using his website and asked (very nicely) what his reasons were for not voting for this amendment.

I have yet to hear back.  If I do, I will happily reprint his answer here.
