It’s a Combo Post Friday
- I have been off by one day all week so I am combining Thursday and Friday.
- I can tell you’re excited by that idea.
- Bell went out with a whimper both JV and Varsity. Ouch. How did Trinity get so good?
- Speaking of football, lots o’ talk on ESPN about who is the best college football team in Texas. And some guy even picked TCU over the Longhorns. I may faint if the frogs get a chance to play them in a BCS bowl. Two words. Freakin’ Awesome.
- Even though I was covered, it took my insurance company a week to get me some temporary cards for the boys’ new truck. Made me nervous. I felt like every phone call I was going to get from my sons was the “I had a wreck” phone call or “I just got a ticket.”
- One of the boys got a job at Six Flags. Not sure what his job is exactly but I would double check your safety belt on the Shockwave if you go to Holiday in the Park this season.
- My gas (house) bill doubled last month. My usage didn’t. Just the bill and the number they use to multiply to my usage. I sent them an email about it and they replied that gas prices fluctuate. It would be nice to know where their numbers come from exactly. My paycheck doesn’t fluctuate.
- I watched the new version of “V” this past week. Wow. Not that great.
- I am ready for LOST to come back.
- I rented the HBO series “The Wire” thru Netflix. Can’t get into to it. I think part of the problem is that it’s not in HD. Talk about being spoiled.
- My golf game has improved over the past two years but my drives have gotten worse and I don’t know why. I really need to take some lessons. It’s actually embarrassing.
- On Thursdays I normally throw up a video and since this is a combo post, I will do it today. About a month ago, I did some “acting” for a web series, The Variants, created by my friend Joe. Well that video finally went live and you can watch it here:
