So Long But Not Goodbye?

posted in Life and Whatnot |

Today was my last day on Fox 4.   It’s sad because I was almost getting to the point of competency on the air doing traffic.   I have had so many people say so many nice things that it’s going to be hard getting my huge head to fit in the car this morning after Good Day.   I have already talked about why I am leaving in an earlier post but I will say it again here. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with than the ones at Good Day.   And hopefully they enjoyed having me around.  Thank you for being so kind and tolerable to my corny humor so early in the morning.  And thank you to everyone who encouraged me in my traffic career.

Well Todd, today was a complete and total waste of make-up,as i’ve managed to cry every bit of it off.
Only you can decide what is best for you,and I hope that whatever path life is taking you on,it brings you great joy.
You will be missed more then you can possibly imagine. You quick wit and rather warped sense of humor has brought me many, many laughs over the years, and I will be forever grateful for having had the chance to spend my waking hours watching you.

What?! Wait!! What just happened here? I turn on the TV this morning and find out my favorite GoodDay guy is leaving????? NOooooOOOOooooooo OOOOOooooooOOOOooooOOOOOoooooo(*breath*)ooOOOOOooooooOOOOoooooooo!

Ok, I know I was a little late in getting to the news this morning, but geez, do you have to punish me by getting a new job!?!

LOL…seriously though, good for you and your boys. Get some sleep and enjoy some regular prime time TV, you deserve it. I, however, may never sleep again, thanks very much! ;)

I really wanted to tell you that you are the reason I picked GoodDay as my morning news of choice when I moved here 2 years ago. You are completely likeable and your terrific personality made a big impression even in your short segments. It felt like I was tuning in to watch my pal on TV every morning. I work from home and don’t need traffic reports, but I watched you anyway. To me, that says alot about the job you were doing and genuine good nature you send out over the air waves.

Good Luck in all you do and always have GoodDay. I will definitely miss seeing you.

Good luck in the future, just know you are going to be missed.

that’s all fine and dandy but FOX 4 better damn well get someone that drops their left shoulder as they say “Team Traffic”. It was an integral part of my morning stretch routine!

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad to see you leave. I just found out this morning that today was your last day on Good Day. I think that you and Chip are the best and the traffic report will never be the same again. I have not heard what you will be doing but I wish you the best of what life has to offer you. As always, have you had a good day lately?

You guys above all said it best. So Drop shoulder, move away from the zipper truck, wink, tilt head and say Grady Niblo goodday traffic.

Unlike the people above, I didn’t watch the show for you, I watched it for the eye candy, megan, not you(sorry). I was pleasantly surprised by your humor, especially “grady nibolo.” I thought I was the only one who found that a strange name for a road until I saw you make fun of it. I never understood why fox would stop doing traffic after 8:30, what was their reasoning? Anyway, good luck with whatever you do, btw, what is megan really like, I have my theories but it would be nice to hear it from someone inside.

    Todd,
I can’t believe I’m not going to be able to see you every morning. The reason I watched the program was because of you, your great personality, unique sense of humor and to see you dance :)
I hope I can run into you someday because I will really like to meet you. I just think you are a terrific kind of guy!
Good luck on your new job!!!

I left for a week to visit relatives, and came back to no Todd on traffic in the morning! I haven been wondering what happened for a month, decided to search Fox4 for an answer, and finally found my way to your website. I was very surprised and saddened to see that you had left Fox4. You folks, Tim, Megan, Evan, Todd and Chip, are like pseudo-family who join us in our bathrobes with our early morning cup of coffee, and it\\\’s always sad to see family and friends leave. I\\\’ll miss your wonderful sense of humor and excellent work. I have watched Fox4 in the for many years, but never realized the details about job, outsourcing, insurance and time off, etc. I can\\\’t blame you for wanting more time with your family, and wish you the very best of luck in your new ventures. Very impressed with your website as well, and will stop by more often. Wish you much happiness in the future!
