This video \"made me laff\" too. (really it did). But I do have a couple of questions for Todd regarding his assumed choice for candidate. First, how many people does the company of your new job employ? Do you know what your company\’s current annual sales revenue is? The reason I ask is to get you thinking about what will happen to your company when (not if) corporate taxes are raised just five additional percentage points. I work for a small business. I know what our opperating costs are and what the current trends in the economy are doing to our sales. If we incurr just a five percent additional tax burden one of the nine of us will be let go and the rest of us will take a major hit to our pay checks. Yeah, Yeah, you can say \"if Bush hadn\’t messed up the economy in the first place, blah, blah, blah.\" I am not worried about yesterday. I am worried about how and who will actually get us out of this mess. If Obama was only going to tax rich individuals I would understand some self absorbed, concerned only with self folks voting for him - like the ones saying \"Hey, I don\’t make $250K and it isn\’t fair that there are folks that do so tax the stew out of them!\" (To clarify, I don\’t make close to a six figure salary.) The reality is that the Obama tax plan includes any entity, not just \"rich folk\". Maybe your company has 5% to spare for the \"good of all\" but mine doesn\’t. In fact, I bet that there are several companies your company is doing business with that don\’t have 5% to spare either. Hmmmmm wonder where they will get the funds to pay the taxes. Could they decide against purchasing services from your new company? Which would you choose - having to figure out how to live off of 95% of your current salary or 0% of your current salary because you got canned? Obama said that \"trickle-down economics doesn\’t work.\" Thats like saying gravity doesn\’t work. The truth is, trickle-down is a force of economics. It can be a force of good (revenue trickling down from above), or a force of bad (reduction of revenue = pink slip). Either way something is going to trickle down! I find it so ironic that the very party that said trickle-down economics doesn\’t work is about to bet $700 BILLION of our (your\’s and mine) tax revenue that trickle-down economics will work to break the credit log jam in the global economy. Personally, I think the \"Me\" and \"X\" generations are about to make the biggest mistake this country has ever seen because they are choosing to vote on \"Fad\" rather than policy. I don\’t care about age, gender, color, or even experience. It is not about what you have or haven\’t done so much as it is what are you going to do! Give me a candidate who will step up with the right policies to protect and prosper our country and I will vote for her!
Congrats on the longest non-spam comment in toddcarruth.com history. I appreciate your thoughts and I am trying to keep this site as neutral as possible. As an independent, I have strong opinions about both candidates but I also try to maintain an open mind. Thanks again!
