Hey, it’s Friday and it feels like I have been working for 12 days straight. Hey, I have… since I was out of town over the weekend. Anyway, here are a few thoughts to start your weekend with…

It feels really good to get 8 hours of asleep. That may be old man talk but I am in a much better mood when I gets my sleep on.
Was thinking about the movie Cloverfield the other day and how much I enjoyed watching it and bingo bango, I ended up buying it on Ebay. That was 2 weeks ago. Still haven’t watched it again.
Did watch Gary Unmarried for the first time this week. It’s a sitcom on CBS starring the very funny Jay Mohr who used to be on SNL.
Also stars my Hollywood girlfriend Paula Marshall. Yeah…the show is not so funny. But has potential if they let Jay loose.
Bell High School got into the playoffs by a coin flip. Doesn’t quite seem fair does it? Oh well. Go Blue Raiders!
For the first time in my life, I am very deliberately watching what I eat. No late night snacks. No ice cream. No empty calories. Now if I could just get my stupid metabolism to kick in a little faster.
Do not get to DFW airport any later than 40 minutes if you have bags to check. Trust me, I found out the hard way. Parked my car with an hour to go at the Parking Spot. On a full bus headed to the terminal, I was the last one dropped off. Went up to the AA counter with my 2 bags (my carryon had my corp video camera-ain’t no way that sucker is going to be checked) and got my boarding pass thru the automated terminal. Went up to the counter to check my bag and I was “late” by one minute. Seriously? That’s a beating.
The wind whipping off the lake in Chicago is freaking cold. Holy crap.
The House of Blues in Chicago has an awesome private club. Oh yeah. I could get used to that.
Facial hair poll is over. Depends on the face came in first with Makes a Man Look Manly a close second. I’m keeping mine for now. Unless any girl tells me she doesn’t like it. Then, I will happily shave it off.
I have mixed feelings about all this government bailout crap. Especially now with the car companies. Nobody truly knows what would happen if certain companies were allowed to fail.
I noticed that Chip has more cameras to play with on the Dallas Freeways. And I also know he still wishes he were in a chopper.
I think I need to budget for a maid. Nobody come over to my house anytime soon. It’s 3 guys living together. Need I say more?
I’ve been looking for a manly drink to drink around manly man so I wouldn’t feel stupid ordering my old standby: “Appletini, easy on the tini”. I think I found it on Saturday. Grey Goose on the rocks with 2 limes. Was pretty smoooooth.
JQuantum of Solace opens today. And I plan on seeing it tonight. Love me some James Bond.
My grandmother fell and broke her hip. It’s like a rite of passsage for senior citizens. Now she can get into the over 80 club without getting id’d. (Get better Nanny!)
