You know, I used to do a new pic every Wednesday on my old blog/live journal and so today, I thought I might post this little gem from my recent golf outing.

Lovely Maria Sotolongo and her new baby, Ysabel, the attractive Megan Henderson and the “I’m just happy to be here-let’s see how straight I can stand” Todd Carruth at the Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation Golf Tournament at The Tribute golf course.

Lovely Maria Sotolongo is leaving Fox 4’s Good Day show to be a full-time mom. (You can read Uncle Barky’s report here). Yes, I am bummed.

Maria was one of the first people at Fox to really make me feel like I was a part of the family when I started working on Good Day. I had never done TV before and she always had something positive and encouraging to say to me. (In TV no feed back is good feedback, but I hadn’t learned that lesson yet)

For about a year, it was just her and me and Natasha and Dan doing that lonely 5am hour and I felt like we all had some great chemistry. Maria also encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and try other things like acting, etc. And did I mention she’s hot? I would marry her clone in a second. Can we clone people yet? Somebody get back to me on that, STAT!

Seriously, I used to watch her in the morning before I got this gig and I was all, “Oh she’s cute” and then I saw her in person and may I just say, “Wow!” Just stunning and one of those people who just gets even more attractive over time because of their personality. You know what I am talking about.

Over that last couple of years, I had been extremely impressed by her determination to get her meteorological degree (she did!) and her excitement over her pregnancy and new daughter (she had wanted to be a mom for a long time) and I very happy-sad for her because I will miss her in the mornings but happy for her family.
