So I was watching VH1’s Jump Start the other morning and this song comes on from new singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles and I stood transfixed for a full 2 minutes just listening to it before I realized why it caught me ear. It’s the syncopation on the piano. Freakin’ awesome. And yes, after about 10 minutes of banging around, I can now play it. Now I just gotta learn the lyrics.

Quick note: Weird that she has different version of the opening chords when she plays it live….

Sometimes I fancy myself as a bit of a designer. I think I am pretty good at Powerpoint and I know my way around photoshop well enough to get by. I came across a contest from FOX looking for fan-created posters for their new show: Terminator-The Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Now, I really liked Terminator 1 and I loved Terminator 2. (probably one of the best weekends of my life when that movie came out- but that’s another story for another time) but I’m not too sure about this new show.  But hey, it stars the girl from 300 and the other girl from Serenity, so I will at least give it a couple of shots.  It can’t be worse than new Bionic Woman.

Anyway, you download the different elements/pics/logos provided and put together your own version of the poster. You can’t create any original elements either (except, i am guessing background color or shading/gradients.)
