Doesn’t that picture make you go, “huh”?  I imagine this scene will repeat itself in about 6 months regardless of who wins the race today.  Regardless, this is a historic time for America.

My political thoughts? You know even though the tagline for this site is “Confessions of a Media Guy”, I really don’t confess a whole lot. Maybe if I had bought mediaguy.com (I just checked-somebody bought mediaguy.com back in 1996, even though it’s not an active domain) instead of toddcarruth.com I could have remained anonymous. It’s kind of hard to do that when your website is your name.

Anyway, I am a moderate independent. I look at the candidates on an individual basis and make my decisions accordingly.

Also, I have deep respect for all of the current candidates. I can’t imagine how hard it is to deal with the public at that level.

One interesting intangible about Obama that I have only heard 1 or 2 people comment on is how the world view of the US would change if he were elected.  People who see the US as being run by a bunch of old white guys would have to at least admit that Obama does not fit that label.

So, do your civic duty and get out an vote.  And do me a favor and participate in my informal poll on the right side of the home page of toddcarruth.com

Now that’s acting!

(Explanation: When the Sarah Conner Chronicles debuted, the folks at FOX corporate were providing a rolling mobile studio where people could get digitally inserted into the show. Don’t stop watching until you see me shoot lasers out of my finger.)

I went to the Pablo Francisco show at the improv on Saturday Night (at freaking 11:30pm! Boy was my body clock off the rest of the weekend) and I missed SNL live but watched the tape. Wow, I really expected Ellen Page to have more…um, what’s word?…RANGE, then what I saw. One reviewer kept talking about how annoying her voice was.. it seemed like she was really nervous/scared and you know what? I am going to cut her a break, since she just turned 21.

Anyway, here’s the funniest part of the show, IMO.
