Natasha Curry

Aside from Megan, Natasha was the woman I was most asked about when I was working at Fox 4 on regular basis.  She anchored the 5am slot and some of my fondest memories are having fun and acting goofy with her and Dan and Maria in the early morning hours when (I thought) nobody was watching.  One time I complained about being cold and she left this wild scarf on my chair and so I put it on for my next hit and Dan said I looked like Dennis Rodman.  And then I said, “Yeah, all I need is some makeup, oh wait, I have makeup on.” And then we all laughed and I got fired. Kidding.  Remember, I said nobody was watching.

Anyway, Natasha and her firefighter husband moved back to Seattle where she hooked up with ABC affiliate KOMO. But the latest info that I have is this:

KOMO/4’s recent announcement that “Northwest Afternoon” would be ending its 24-year year run in August apparently rendered “NWA” co-host Natasha Curry expendable. Curry, pictured, also co-anchored KOMO’s morning newscasts with Mike Dardis. She has left the station and will be replaced on the morning news shows by do-everything anchor Molly Shen, a KOMO spokesman said. Curry, who finished in the top 10 at the 1998 Miss USA pageant, joined KOMO in January 2007.
